13 SEPTEMBER 2001
Remember & Celebrate Alcoa
Day September 13, 2000
Badin, NC
-
All southerners and lovers of Civil Liberty need to remember that one
year
ago today, that the Alcoa Aluminum plant in Badin, North Carolina
finally
accepted the legitimate demands of Alcoa workers who wanted to display
Confederate symbols. This ended a summer long protest spearheaded by
Vicki
Poston to force Alcoa to recognize the rights of the workers.
Alcoa now sponsors Confederate sensitivity sessions for all its
employees.
The 5 children of SLRC Chief trial Counsel Kirk D. Lyons are home
schooled
and for them today, like every significant Confederate holiday, is a day
off
from school. Go thou and do likewise.
While dealing with the awful tragedy that has befallen the country we
still
gives thanks for a victory of liberty so we Give Thanks to Almighty GOD
for
ALCOA DAY!!! The SLRC is non-profit,
tax exempt, South Carolina
public law firm that specializes in cases involving Southern Heritage
violations.
