SLRC States Position
on "Hate Groups" Black
Mountain, NC - The Southern
Legal Resource Center, Inc. is a non-profit, tax deductible South
Carolina Public Law firm that advocates on behalf Confederate Southern
Americans and, through them, ALL Americans.
We have been distressed by the shrill and dishonest rhetoric used by
agenda-driven left of center advocacy groups to demonize legitimate
traditionalist organizations.
In recent so-called "Intelligence Reports," the
SPLC, headed by a man who has made a career out of suborning perjury,
has defamed the League of the South and the Council of Conservative
Citizens as "hate groups."
It is apparent, in the SPLC's grasping for what little is left of their legitimacy in mainstream circles, that their "intelligence" people are moving ineluctably towards branding the Sons of Confederate Veterans as a "hate group." Nothing could more demonstrate the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of the Southern Poverty Law Center.
It is also apparent that the SPLC plans to further
defame and trash the work of the Southern Legal Resource Center in its
upcoming "Intelligence Report." Whether or not the Southern Legal
Resource Center is upgraded to "hate group" by the Dees hatchet team,
the SLRC is not surprised by this development and rather takes Morris
Dees' scorn as a badge of honor. Our only concern is that
uninformed Christian, taxpaying, heterosexual families may be duped into
seeing the SPLC as neutral, dispassionate and objective - something it
most certainly is not.
Before the SPLC takes this ridiculousness to any
new lows, the Southern Legal Resource Center takes the following
unequivocal positions for the record:
- The United Daughters of the Confederacy is not
a "hate group."
- The Children of the Confederacy is not a "hate
group."
- The Confederate Society of America is not a
"hate group."
- The Order of Confederate Rose is not a "hate
group."
- The Military Order of Stars and Bars is not a
"hate group."
- The Daughters of the American Revolution are
not a "hate group."
- The Daughters of the Republic of Texas are not
a "hate group."
- The Unites States Daughters of 1812 are not a
"hate group."
- Free Mississippi is not a "hate group."
- The League of the South is not a "hate group."
- The Council of Conservative Citizens is not a
"hate group."
- Reenactment units are not "hate groups."
Who's next?
Groups claiming the contrary should be avoided by
honest and fair-minded Americans of whatever color or creed.
Respectfully submitted,
