SLRC Weekly Update

Dear Compatriots:

Greetings Southern Legal Resource Center supporters!  I hope that everyone enjoyed Labor Day and maybe even some of you had the day off of work!  This has been a great week, and very busy!!  Here is just some of what has been going on with us:

Castorina

This case has settled. The terms will be announced once the ink is dry.  As soon as the terms are announced we will be playing, "Who Wants to Be Next?"  As mentioned before, there are three schools in KY that have banned Confederate flag shirts.  We will be working strong in KY and in GA as well.

Dupont

We have completed the EEOC charges.  As soon as the clients look them over we will be filing them.  We anticipate the charges will be filed early next week.

Cherokee County:  Late Breaking News!!!

Cherokee County High School has banned Dixie Outfitter shirts.  At school on Friday 179 students were either sent home or asked to turn their shirts inside out!  That's right--179 students.  Our phones have been ringing off the hooks with calls from parents, students, aunts, uncles and enraged citizens of Cherokee County.  I have been busy taking fact statements from each caller and getting his specific story.  As further details unfold we will keep you posted!

Confederate Autumn:  A March Through Dixie

H.K. Edgerton will carry a Confederate Flag from the Vance Monument in Asheville, NC to the Texas Supreme Court Building in Austin, TX....on foot.  He plans on leaving Monday, October 14, 2002 and will arrive on Robert E. Lee's birthday on January 19, 2003.  From there H.K. will march to the Hays High School Stadium in Buda, TX (an additional 30 miles.)  H.K.'s goal is to raise $2 million dollars in Heritage money for the SLRC and for the SCV Heritage Defense.  The SLRC will be accepting pledges in any amount for the trip.  Supporters may wish to pledge at least $1 per mile for a certain leg of the journey or hopefully the whole 1500 mile journey.  For further details visit the website at: http://www.southerncaucus.org/hkedgerton.htm

Folks, I don't need to tell you how important our heritage is!  We have to educate our children and let them know the TRUE HISTORY!  Lord knows the public schools and the general public are not going to do it!  It is OUR DUTY!  We need you to help us fight the fight.  All donations are tax-deductible!  You can't lose!  You support The Cause and you can write it off! Send in your tax-deductible contribution TODAY!

PLEASE SEND YOUR TAX-DEDUCTIBLE CONTRIBUTION TO:
