SLRC Weekly Update

Greetings Compatriots:

Hello to everyone.  I hope that everyone had a most wonderful week. We have been preparing for HK's March to the Sea.  I have enclosed the route below for the march so that all of those that wish to help, may do so.

Dupont Update

The hearing in Richmond on January 30 approaches.  This David v. Goliath case reaches its climax.  Because David will not bend the knee, Goliath is seeking to destroy him and silence his voice on behalf of our people forever.  Goliath pays us the highest possible compliment, in that our simple appeal for justice and civil rights scares them so much that they feel like they must squash our advocate. Goliath should consider the properties of mercury when you drop it on the floor at room temperature.

Vindication of our rights will take a long time!  It would come sooner if the apathy and indolence of our people were not so great.  But those of us that believe in God and simple justice know that we are on God's time and not our own.  That we must await His holy will and not our own. That we must continue to do our duty as God gives us the strength and let Him deliver the victory.

For those that inquired, the following order was filed in the DuPont case this week:

IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
FOR THE EASTERN DISTRICT OF VIRGINIA
Richmond Division

Civil No. 3:03cv469

KEVIN LAMBERT CHAPLIN, et. Al.,
Plaintiffs,
v.
DUPONT ADVANCE FIBER SYSTEMS,

Thereafter, Plaintiffs shall have until close of business on January 23, 2004 to respond and Defendants shall reply no later than close of business on January 28, 2004.  Should such motion by filed and briefed by the parties, the Court will hear any additional argument, if necessary, after the parties' oral argument on Friday, January 30, 2004 at 2:00 p.m.

It is so ORDERED.

Signed,

Henry Hudson
United States District Judge Date: Jan 15, 2004 Richmond, VA

The Clerk is directed to send a copy of this Order to all counsel of record.

Oral arguments are scheduled on January 30th at the Federal Courthouse. The address is 1000 East Main Street. The hearing will be held on the 1st floor at 2:00 pm.

Several supporters have asked if they can attend this hearing to show support for Mr. Lyons.  I am told that as long as you maintain Courtroom decorum and dress for Court, the hearing will be in open court and is open to the public.  Whether you attend or not, your immediate prayers and support are needed NOW!
