SLRC Weekly Update

Greetings Compatriots:

Hello to everyone.  I hope that everyone has had a great week.  HK Edgerton was in Valley Springs Middle School this week.  A young man called HK when his teacher told him that the Confederate flag was racist. HK has been standing outside the school with his uniform and flag all this week.  The teacher also said that she wouldn’t permit a debate in school so the young man arranged to have one in the local McDonalds.  HK met the young man and assisted him in the debate.  This was a wonderful opportunity for HK to talk to students and give them the truth on the flag!

HK's March to Charleston begins in just 7 days - Get Ready

Kirk and Brenna want to thank you for your continued support and prayers for Stuart.  Although his vision has returned better than expected, it is still not where it should be.  Please continue to pray for this sweet young man, as he has been quite the trooper through all of this.  Please continue to pray for him.

Dupont

We filed a motion to alter or amend judgment this week. DuPont has filed a Notice of Foreign Registration of Foreign Judgment in a Buncombe County Court to begin the process of collecting sanctions against Chief Trial Counsel Lyons.  Interestingly, DuPont includes the SLRC in the notice and that they intend to collect the judgment against the SLRC as well.  All this even though there is not yet a Final Order (Because of the Motion to Alter or Amend we filed with the Court) and the fact that the SLRC is nowhere included in the Judgment of the Court.  DuPont knows that the Court did not include the SLRC in the Judgment, but they also know it will take more legal work and attorney time for us to extricate the SLRC from the Judgment - with the worst case scenario for them is paying the SLRC's attorney fees for improperly including them in the notice of Judgment.  This is yet another example of the hardball tactics that any Confederate Southern American can expect in the future if he takes on a multi-national corporation in defense of his rights.

Lawrence County

We filed stipulations of facts in the Lawrence County, Alabama school case this week.  This has laid the ground work for further discovery.  We have found many interesting facts while conducting pre-discovery.  When Principal Ricky Nichols went on active duty in Afghanistan many students wore Confederate t-shirts to school without being punished or made to change their shirts.  Now that he is back, we have verified that students are still wearing Confederate t-shirts and symbols to school, without incident.

This case has made a few interesting twists and turns and we will keep you informed as details unfold.
