SLRC Weekly Update

Greetings Compatriots:

I hope that everyone enjoyed the Fourth of July and all the festivities. I have recently returned from vacation and am glad to be back! Here is what is going on at the SLRC.

FAA

Our appeal brief is due on July 28th. We will keep you abreast of all new developments.

Kirk is scheduled to speak at the Egbert Ross camp in Charlotte, North Carolina on July 20th. Keep him in your prayers for safe travel.

Along those same lines, HK Edgerton will be speaking at the Lt. Robert D. Powel SCV camp # 1817 in Blountville, TN on Monday July 19th. HK is sure to make a moving speech and if you can attend you won’t forget it.

SLRC Seminar

The Southern Legal Resource Center will be hosting a hands on seminar at the National Reunion in Dalton, Georgia on Thursday from 4:15-5:15. There is no charge for this seminar and all are invited—attorneys and laymen. We will not have a table at this year’s reunion so come to this seminar and see everyone. It is sure to be a helpful guide if your school decides to ban Confederate symbols.

Lyons Daughter to Undergo Surgery

On a more serious note, Kirk’s daughter, Katherine, age 6, is scheduled for surgery on her lip next Thursday on July 22nd. Please keep young Katherine and the Lyons’ family in your prayers!

Sky Miles Needed

The SLRC has a desperate need for 25,000 Sky Miles. If anyone has the mileage and needs a nice tax deduction please contact Allison at 864-476-0656. THANKS!
